چکیده

This paper describes the isolation and partial characteriza tion of a collagen cell attachment protein from the spent culture medium of rat hepatoma cells. When compared with serum fibronectin, this attachment protein differed in several biochem ical parameters. The hepatoma attachment protein was partially purified by adsorbing and eluting from an inorganic gel, mag nesium oxide. Cell adhesive activity was routinely recovered at levels of 10 to 30%, and a 2000-fold purification was attained. The hepatoma attachment protein was shown to be sensitive to trypsin and chymotrypsin, to be heat inactivated at 61°, to have a molecular weight of 58,000, to have an isoelectric point of 4.1, to show an electrophoretic mobility on cellulose acetate of approximately one-half that of fibronectin, and not to crossreact with antifibronectin antisera.

Expression of CXC Chemokines Gro/KC and SDF-1a in Rat H4 Hepatoma Cells in Response to Different Stimuli

Background: It is now well established that several environmental stress factors cause activation of p38 MAP kinase and JNK in various cell types to produce chemokines. Objective: To investigate the expression of CXC chemokines Gro/KC and SDF- 1a in rat's H4 hepatoma cells in response to heat shock, hyperosmolarity and oxidative stress. Methods: Hepatoma cells were maintained in MEM medium. Cel...

Occurrence of the Tumor-specific, Calcium-binding Protein, Oncomodulin, in Virally Transformed Normal Rat Kidney Cells1

Oncomodulin, an apparently tumor-specific calcium-binding protein, has been detected in many chemically induced rat hepatomas. It is now possible to detect, by radioimmunoassay and immunofluorescence, the presence of Oncomodulin in normal rat kidney cells virally transformed by avian sarcoma virus. By contrast, it was not detected in uninfected, nonneoplastic normal rat kidney cells. The protei...

Purification and characterization of a DNA binding protein in a nuclear scaffold fraction from rat ascites hepatoma cells.

Our most recent work [Hibino et al. (1995) Cancer Lett., 88, 49-55] has shown that the selective binding affinities of highly repetitive DNA components for a nuclear scaffold protein from rat ascites hepatoma cells (P230) depend on the degree of sequence-directed bending of the helix axis. In the present experiment, this protein has been highly purified and isolated by a series of column chroma...

Differences in Nucleolar Antigens of Rat Liver and Novikoff Hepatoma Ascites Cells1

Antisera to nucleoli of Novikoff hepatoma ascites and normal rat liver cells were produced in rabbits by injection of whole, isolated nucleoli. These antisera have been used to compare the nucleolar antigens that were partially fractionated by differential solubilization from nucleoli. Fourteen antigens were detected by these antisera; ten of these antigens were detected by both antisera. Oucht...
